Title: Flip-Up, Rooster Tail and the Transducer Shield
Post by: fisherdee on March 22, 2014, 09:27:08 AM
Hopefully this is the cure.  I installed the Transducer Shield Spring Back Bracket on that big transducer.  It is suppose to eliminate the flip-up annoyance at high speed and also reduce or eliminate the rooster tail spray.  I posted some pictures in the aluminum boat section of the bracket installed on my 2011 Lund 1850 Tyee.
If it does not work I will sure let you know.  Now if we can just melt some ice around here!

I also bought the Transducer Shield Spring Back Bracket for my Lund. Getting that big transducer low enough to avoid the turbulence form
those rivets puts it in a risky area. My concern now is the bracket sets the transducer back even further. My old install worked good as I had a clear
view L/R. I'll post the results if we ever get open water.
