Humminbird's AS ETH NMEA2K NMEA2000® accessory allows you to connect your Humminbird Ethernet capable unit to an existing NMEA2000® network such as fuel flow/levels, engine informantion and much more. This can help you conserve valuable fuel and anticipate problems with an at-a-glance view of fuel consumption and engine performance.  You can view multiple gauges at once for the complete picture.
Waterproof black box connects to existing NMEA2000® network.
Distribute NMEA2000 data to all Ethernet-compatible Humminbird® units on your Ethernet network.
Easily customize data boxes.
View data for 2 engines and 2 fuel tanks

See things more clearly with new Humminbird® Radar.   Birds, buoys, other boats and weather - watch it all take shape on your unit screen for maximum safety and a competitive edge.  Rugged, 12-inch or 21-inch radomes easily connect to your Humminbird® Ethernet Network.
Display the raw radar image or overlay the radar image on a chart.
Up to 4kW transmit power delivers accurate target detection at both long and short ranges
Adjustable VRM and EBL functions provide precise range and bearing information for any target,
Shaded target intensity helps users judge weather severity and differentiate between large and small vessels.
5-Port Ethernet Switch AS ETH 5PS

Build it and the fish will come.  This waterproof switch allows you to quickly and easily connect up to five Ethernet items.  Use it to link multiple Humminbird® head units, share transducers, add an NMEA2000® network or step up to Humminbird Radar.  With so many options and even more to come, the possibilities are truly endless.

Since I don't need the NEMA data ports, think I'll pass and wait to see what the next update holds in store.

So it's 3:15AM today and I'm on this site reading the current post. Ding.. new e-mail.
E-mail from HB about release of 6.420 software. Cut/Paste info here so members will be up to date.
Reading post now, I see Roger ( raricker ) installed 6.420 on 7-13-12 to his 998.   ie... 26 days ago!
This leads me to the conclusion that I have NO CLUE about what I'm talking about and members should
not pay to much attention to what I post. I'm sorry.
