G3N Helix slaved to a G2N Helix
« on: August 04, 2020, 10:59:32 AM »
Hi. I have a Helix 10 MSI G2N on the driver's side. Currently running a 998 on the passenger side. Looking to upgrade to a MDI G3N. Haven't decided on a size yet. I believe the G3N uses the low Q transducer. Can the G3N be dumb'd down to use the G2N tranducer? If so,  would I just loose display clarity?

Thanks...Kevin

Yes the G3N can be “dumbed down” to use the G2N xducer - not sure why you wouldn’t use the xducer that comes with the G3N  ...

Note : the Low Q xducer only pertains to the 2d piezo  ...

If I had unlimited money, I wouldn't. However, finding G2N products is getting harder to find primarily the Helix 7.

  Thanks!
