Well, as I read through the instructions I noticed it read may need to disconnect the gps. I don't recall having read this in the past.
I am hoping it included a fix for the large 2d pixels that I now get since updating in the past. I believe I once read on the forum here that Humminbird don't always list all the fixes the update has in it. Maybe Greg will step in and give us a clue of what else it may cover.

I had hoped that it would add the support for zero lines card as stated but my 1198 & 998 neither shows my map data . Unless I move the folders as instructed in the fix

I hope he does, I would like to know what was added or changed also.

All I know about are the stated changes:

General Fixes
•   Removes NMEA0183 functionality when i-Pilot Link is connected
•   Corrects issues caused when user follows the contour while recording an iTrack and AutoPilot is turned on.
•   Corrects issue where iTracks were not being deleted from all units on the network
•   Corrects issue where sonar continued to ping after sonar was turned off.
New Features
•   Adds support for AutoChart PC and Zeroline SD cards

bzamboo,
Neither your 1198 nor 998 unit would show the maps off the ZeroLine card after you updated their software to version 7.090?

I don’t know TTF but wanted to confirm it before sending a message to anyone else about it.

I had the same issue, also when I went to update the software for the Ipilot Link controller and remote the units just shut down when the Ipilot connected. I was updating to the correct versions with the new unit software. Had to downgrade the software to get the units to stay on with the Ipilot Link system. On my remote for the Ilink it does show there is an update available. However I am hesitant to do this without the units having the most updated software on them. I am at a Catch 22 at the moment.

there is a big post on bbcboards about the update with a bunch of screen shots. from what I can see there is no improvement in the 2d sonar. it is still pixelated. so if you don't need updates or do not have 360 or ipilot and I link stay with 6.49

Cory,
If you are having problems with updating the software in your i-Pilot Link Controller and Remote; call the Humminbird Customer resource folks for help on this.
