Hot tip for tablet owners

Have a tablet and don't want to take it out on the water for fear of getting it wet/salty/sandy?  I've been doing this for 2 years now, and I thought I'd share.  If you have a foodsaver or other similar food storage system, you can put your tablet in a bag, provided your system offers a smooth side, and seal it up.  You can't charge it, or plug anything into it, but if you just want to use your navionics app, or read a book on the boat/beach, this is the ticket.  The touch screen and buttons work like a charm.    I don't pull a full vacuum, just enough to lay the plastic smooth on the screen.  If you pull too much vacuum, your buttons may stick...

And it will probably cook itself in that bag ..... >:D

Havent had an issue yet, and I've had it out on the boat and the beach several times, but I can't say I've left it in direct sun for an extended period.

Have you tried using a freezer grade zip type food storage bag?
