Electrical enterferance

I am getting a enterfernace when i use my trolling mtr. any ideas

The himminbird goes bland and when I get off the mtr it looks ok.
I have a 788ci some say i need a power choke.  If so where can I get one

Understand you problem and can only say welcome to the forum. You have come to the right place for answers.
Rather than post a list of remedies which could or not help with your problem I suggest you use the search tab at the top and enter the words rf choke and then hit search.
you will find a long list of "hits' referencing interference and also where to buy the part for reducing or eliminating interference.
This may be a trial and error process to get the end results.

You are experiencing RF interference from your trolling motor’s variable speed circuitry.  Some of the posts on this web site may contain old information.  I would contact the Humminbird Customer Resource folks about this.  They should be up to date on what our Engineers are recommending to help fix this.  Be forewarned though: what works on one boat does not always work on other boats – such is the nature of RF interference.

Greg, that is why I asked him to reference the search information.
While it is a lot of information in the end he will have all that is known and not just the most current.
Which should get a fix for the problem..
