Title: Prices are dropping fast on Helix and Solix 10 and 12s
Post by: fishreed on August 23, 2019, 11:19:37 AM
The price dropping has begun guys...if you are in the market for a new Helix 10,12  or Solix 10, 12 the prices are dropping faster thana hookers pants  all over the net including EBAY at $500- $700 under  the mfg price fixing amount... They will go lower too! I just saw a NEW Solex 12 going for $2400 including tranducer and when old price was $3099. ;D

I would be cautious of those prices and whether it was in fact a new G3 model Helix or G2 model Solix.  Sounds like it may be the prior generation units at those discounts.

Trust me Dude.....there is no such thing as a G3 Solix and everything I'm seeing for a  G3 Helix is  $300-$500 bucks off the $2499 fixed price. ....A brand new Solix 12 SI went for $2200 on Ebay just a few days ago with only 8 bidders. If a guy is interested in  G2 Helix, I have seen price drops close to $800 for a 12  Mega SI.  My Mommy didn't raise no fool when it comes to fast dropping prices on marine sonar electronics! They will be 40-50% off by Christmas. No retailer wants  to winter over  obsolete expensive  marine electronics and hold up Spring POs,   so  Hummigbird gives BIG discounts and credits  to get Spring POs from retailers for  new stock as retailers broom out   old stock models @  fire sale prices. This is how I bought my 1199SI for  $1000 bucks with free freight  with a  free $150 wireless remote at Cabelas in 2016, the regular price was $1999.   I never pay these greedy marine electronic bastards street mfg's  suggested prices for anything.

You're correct...there is no such thing as a G3 model Solix and didn't say that.  A "brand new" Helix or Solix model doesn't always mean newest model available as some websites are trying to sell.  Just a caution to verify model before buying.
