All the HB units have 2 separate simulators ...

The "Demo Simulator" is what the retail stores use for customer demo ... It has balloon info popups explaining features of the unit as the different views rotate thru a shuffle scenario ... Any settings changes made during "Demo Simulator" are not saved after a power cycle (so that customers can change settings all day and the store can start fresh with a simple power cycle) ... Demo Simulator can be shut off under the Setup tab so that it ceases to be an option upon startup ...

The "Forced Simulator" can only be found by pressing the "Menu" button upon boot up to give the option popup of Normal Operation - Forced Simulator - or System Status ... Any settings changes made during "Forced Simulator" are saved even after a power cycle ...

Forced Simulator "simulates" a GPS antenna attached so that the Chart views are available for user input without the GPS antenna actually having to connect to the satellites ...

Thanks Rickie for the information on the 898. Without you and the team there would be a lot of lost people like myself out there wondering. Thanks again for your help. Larry.
