Are you using an additional "shoot thru" 2d xducer and the AS SIDBY Cable... or only the stock SI xducer  ...

It may be an algae bloom  ...and can be worse if the 83kHz beam is being used  ...

Can you try the 200kHz Beam Frequency to see if there's any change  ...??

I only use the 200hz. Water was clear down to 8+ft.Didnt see this last year don't know if when putting everything back in my boat from winter I may have picked up some ground problem. It is on the crank batt with the other accessories but didn't have it last year. Puzzling .Thanks for your input though keeps my mind working

The best troubleshooting is to try your head unit on another xducer  ... Or try another head unit on your xducer  ...

Rickie I check what I thought I had set for my xducer was at 200hz only but you are correct it was on 200-85hz setting and in the driveway of my house the noise went away. I will see on sat when I hit the lake . Thank You
