« on: April 25, 2016, 05:04:08 AM »
hi all ,another question for you gurus ,as I have had no luck with the hummingbird company with replies back to me here in aussie,it has been 12 months now since I lost the gps capabilities with the small brass female pin breaking.the question is can I use any of the other 3 ports to rechannel the gps to the antenna.this might be me buying another gps ariel to fit this if possible. only a thought as I have exhausted my option s from here in aus.even Johnson outdoors hasn't replied to my email, maybe too hard basket .

I don't know any way that the GPS signal can be obtained directly thru one of the other sockets ...

You could subscribe to a different GPS antenna from another unit in an Ethernet Setup ...

Try this number for international straight to Eufala ...

after having another look at unit decided to take it down to local marine electriton and ask if it is possible to solder new wires onto broken brass pins ,he said he would give it a go as it wouldn't hurt as unit has to go back and have a new back section put on it .he found there was a prob also with the main power pins not connecting properly as well which was causing it to reboot every now and then .soldered on new pin acceptors and bugger me it is working perfectly .saves a lot of dramas getting it to states for repair thanks rick for all your help greatly appreciated .cheers AL
