Topic: Recovering SI files after unintended reset ?

Hi, Is there anyone that have experience how to recover the SI file after an unintended reset ?

I guess I have all the Data files avilible but not the Top
e.g Missing small "header" :  .\RECORD\R00138.DAT
But i still have the large files in Library .\RECORD\R00138\ :  as
.\RECORD\R00138\B000.IDX
.\RECORD\R00138\B000.SON
.\RECORD\R00138\B001.IDX
.\RECORD\R00138\B002.SON
..
..
At least in the beginning they looks complete.

PS. The problem I have experienced is if I press to fast VIEW or BACK then there will be a reset.
The swiftest way I foun out to start a RECORDING on SD card Is to press 6 or 7 VIEWs or BACK to get to this menu.

I have the Snapshot/Record View as one of my presets so I can get to this screen in one step. 

I have only experienced the "reset issue" when pressing the buttons toofast one time.  I reinstalled the software and problem has not been back.

As for the files, it is possible to reconstruct the .DAT file.  You would need to know how to edit the file using a hex editor and just change the field that has the file name to match the R000** folder. And of course rename the file to the correct R000**.DAT.

However I did not succed completely.

I only found one place in the hexflex to change the R00XX number and this was "R00138.SON".

SI Convert succeded in some library but failed i most.
In this library could Yelowfin display one of the R00xx.872 files.

Humviewer did only read in the *.dat file to 50% and stopped during initilaisation.

I think there might some more in the .DAT file that need to be reconstructed.
I need to spend some more time with this.
