Title: 798 HDSI transducer setting for US2 transducer
Post by: Fredfx21 on January 19, 2015, 07:48:59 PM
I just upgraded my console unit to a 1199, and moved my 998 to the trolling motor on a HDSI transducer.  Problem when I switched out a older 798 SI without a GPS for a 798HDSI I lost the US2 sonar option, I only have now quad beam, and compact sidescan.   I have quad beam selected for now ? is this going to be a issue with using the US2 in my minnkota 101?    I don't want to do any damage or loose any performance.   Appreciate any advice or experiences.

There should be a "Dual Beam" option under the "Transducer Select" choices... (US2 is Dual Beam)...

It was the option when I had a 798 SI installed.  When I switched out to the 798HD SI I lost the option and only have quad beam and compact sidescan..      Seems to be working but...... it in the garage and not on the water

Thanks Rickie.   That thread makes makes sense.  Going to roll with it.   I can't wait for some weather above freezing to get back on the water.
