Is it possible?
« on: February 06, 2010, 12:21:50 AM »
I loaded 4.750 for a buddies 1197 today.

I gave it to him at a ballgame tonight and he went home after the game and installed it.

He restored the FD, and then inserted the chip.

It took the upgrade fine, but he says it erased all of his waypoints.

I said its not really possible, but anything could happen.

I asked if it was possible of they were gone before the upgrad and he indicated that they were there last week when he was playing around with it.

Not really a big deal because he has his waypoints backed up, and could reload them.

Just wondering if anyone has heard lof this before.

Thanks.

Hate to see her go, but love to watch her leave.

No, I haven't heard of this lately.

Another good reason to always back up your NAV data before updating the software.
