798CI SI HD COMBO

I need to replace my xtm  9 si 180 t . Is there any advantage in replacing it with the xtm 9 hdsi 180 t  transducer? thanks ,Earl

I'm not an expert so I'm sure others will chime in....
You will get a slightly better picture with the High Def one, but not as good a picture as if your unit were equipped with the ability to process the 800kHz signal.  At least that's the way it is if with the non-trolling transducers.  I would guess that they both have sufficient shielding for RF since both are designed to be on a trolling motor.

I've got both transducers for my 798 HDSI.  The "xtm 9 hdsi 180 t" definitely produces much crisper screens across the board. It's worth it.
I can also see the diff in the 3rd party viewers.

Do ya think its worth the extra 300 bucks? Thats with a transducer shield and saver too for the hdsi transducer on the TM. PS, happy labor day!

Nitro; They can be found for less than $200.00 some times $175.00 on the www. Just saw one on ebay for 119.00.  Roddy
