Title: GPS output problem
Post by: winman62 on September 02, 2012, 08:15:05 PM
Does anybody know why the humminbird GPS output $GPAPB is sending out "origin to destination" numbers in the "present position" and "heading to steer" fields? I'm trying to connect a autopilot program that reads these fields, but unfortunately, all 3 fields read to same starting point heading numbers. Somebody tell me I have a setting wrong on my unit.

There is no setting in the unit to control the NMEA sentences other than transmit or not. This sounds like a bug  in the unit.

Do you have the latest SW for the unit?

Were you navigating to a waypoint when it showed this?

Yes, I have the newest software version. I was navigating to a way point. The RMB sentence does not show up on the readout unless the unit is navigating to a way point.
