« on: May 18, 2013, 12:44:22 PM »
Can I only take screen shots of the side imaging or can I record a video of the side imaging?

Hi Coreyc,

You can make recordings to the SD card, but the files are raw-data files, not traditional video files (*.AVI, *.MOV, *.MPEG etc.), so they cannot be played back with a media player. To "replay" the data, you can use the sonar itself, or you can copy the recorded files to a PC and view the data with a 3'rd party viewer software. (Each Humminbird "recording" consist of a *.DAT file and a folder with data from each sonar channel.)

You could also use the video-out connector to record what you see on the screen, but you would then not have the option to make adjustments to what you see on the screen during playback.
