858 C Combo Quadrabeam
« on: March 19, 2012, 06:38:12 PM »
I have the 898C SI and just purchased the 858 for the bow. I called customer service to request a transducer exchange for the TM as it came with the transom model transducer. And I asked customer service if I could exchange it for a Quadrabeam for the TM and she gave me the numbers and instructions to do so. So I sent it off in the mail today and now after reading some more I think I sent it off for nothing because the Quadrabeam was an optional transducer for the 858C Combo? My question is will they send me the quadrabeam or just send me mine back? Anyone thanks in advance.

Since you called in there should be a reference number that gives whoever opens your transducer the instructions they need to send you back a trolling motor QuadraBeam transducer.  I am assuming that you followed the instructions you were given.

To Chuck’s point: when humans are involved, anything can happen!  LOL!

I was told by customer service to always use a certain reference number for my account. For instance like when I sent the 898 in to have a issue checked. I put the number on the Locator and on the box it was shipped in. I did the same with the Transducer. Same number even to reference my account.

The quad beam transducer came Fed Ex today. So they did exchange the original transom mount Switchfire transducer for the quad beam TM ducer sweet.
