I'm trying to export the waypoints off my 998. I go to through all the steps and it will say "nav data successfully exported to mmc/sd card". Then I go put the sd card in my computer and there is nothing on it. Any ideas of what i may be doing wrong??

Try using another card......Best to use a class 10 SD card....Humminbird recommends scandisk extreme.
Are you looking at the card with file explorer or Humminbird PC?
-
I just tried viewing what is on the sd card when I first insert it into my computer. It should show something at that point right?
-
Yes....There should be files and folders on there. What you see may depend on how you have the view set up on windows.
-
Yeah it shows a few folders but nothing in them. I guess I'll have to try and get a scandisk extreme card.

Are you using HumminbirdPC?
-
Is the slide locked on the left edge of the SD Card ...??

What folders is it showing?
Have you tried formatting the SD card?

The card is in the unlocked position. I have not downloaded humminbird pc yet. I was trying to get the waypoints on the gps first but I will download it now to see if that makes a difference.
I will attach a picture with what folders are being shown. I'm not sure what to do to format the SD card.

There looks to be some additional folders on that SD card and these may be causing the problem. When we get this straightened out you should see a “DATA.HWR” file under the “MATRIX” folder.
Since your PC is identifying the SD card as drive “E”, go to its rot directory and right-click it and select “Format”. Be sure to uncheck “Quick Format”.
If that is an SDHC memory card and you have an old PC, then I would install Humminbird PC first and us the formatter in it so that the SDHC type memory card gets formatted correctly.

Thanks Greg! Reformatting the SD card and loading Humminbird PC to my computer seemed to have solved the issue.
