Rare image of Wels catfish. This species is most of the time resting in some structure and is impossible to find on fish finder. Only lucky crossing of its path, while it is hunting, make this picture possible.

It's a big one taking up about 1/3 of the 32' water column. Note that he might have a girlfriend. There is a 2nd tail in front of him at the left, but can't see the head.

Here is a Switchfire screenshot of a giant school of 3 to 4 pound Coho Salmon from this spring - south end of Lake Michigan. We caught 38 fish that day. (we kept our limit for the grill but released the rest). Yes, fish are arches (with Fish ID off).
