Title: Helix 5 SI GPS Question
Post by: Bayou Basser on January 01, 2015, 11:27:24 AM
Does anyone know if the XTM 9 SI 180 T trolling motor transducer is compatible with this unit?  I was about to purchase a 698 but the Helix looks so much better.  With the lower price and redesign i would bet the 698 is a thing of the past.

You sure can use that, it's electrically the same EXCEPT the TM version had extra shielding to help with TM interference.
If you have not opened the transducer's hardware bag, you can give HB C/S  a call next business day & ask about the "Transducer Exchange Program" and you should be able to swap it out for just shipping costs. >:D

You're right about the 600 series, they will go buh bye soon.

Thanks for reply.  I have an 899 on the console (ducer on transom) and want the Helix at the bow.
