XNT9 SI 180 T Transducer upgrade
« on: May 13, 2013, 04:46:02 PM »
Has anyone tried this SI transducer upgrade on their 798c SI?  Wondering how much difference it will make over stock transducer.  It you have images of performance changes that would be great.

Thanks.

Wayne did the upgrade and has posted images on this forum in the past.....you might be able to find them with a search.

You might be able to find Wayne over on the Humminbird BBC forum.

Lake Diver,
The XNT-9-SI-180-T is the stock transducer that ships out with the 798c Si units.  Are you meaning the XHS-9-HDSi-180-T transducer instead?  This is the larger transducer that ships out with the 898/998/1198 units (and was shipped with the 997 and 1197 units).

Thanks for the reply Greg, I think I read some of the spec numbers wrong.  What I am looking for is a transducer upgrade for my unit to improve image quality or performance, is there one available?

The XHS-9-HDSi-180-T  that Greg mentioned would be the one.

It will work on the 798 and some have reported improvement in the image quality.

Thanks for the info, will have to try one out this summer...

If anyone can post comparison scans of the two, I would appreciate it.
