Title: Can DI upgrade to SideImage if you change transducer & firmware?

Can I add Sideimage to a down image unit by adding an SI transducer and upgrading the firmware in the head unit?

I can't find my head unit (either *I* put it away for the winter, and now I can't find it, or it grew legs and walked off)....

So I'm wondering, can I buy a new unit with fewer features, and upgrade the firmware to get side image using my already installed SI transducer?

No sir  ... a DI unit cannot be “upgraded” to a SI unit with any hardware or software addition  ...
