Model:

Suggested Upgrade:
Allow Auto Waypoint Sync
Explanation:

When both units are Ethernet connected and turned on; all of those waypoints that are set to be “shared” are shown on the opposite unit.
Is this what you ware meaning or are you asking that an actual copy of the waypoint be transferred to and remembered by the other unit(s)?  If so, than those with many waypoints may quickly fill up their waypoint allotment for their units.

Greg,
I would rather both units sync when turned on so that when I back up my waypoints to my PC, I don't have to back up from both individual units then have two separate backups to my PC. Also if one of my units goes down, I will not have the waypoints marked on the other unit. I recently sold my Interlink and purchased Ethernet with a hub so that I can connect 3 units, to my dismay I the Ethernet hub does not store all the data on the network! For $200 which is simply a weather resistant ethernet hub, I would expect some more intelligance and memory storage.

Dito on this one!  I run back to the console to mark stuff on my boat so only one unit has to be backed up.  Would be nice if you mark something that file/mark goes to all units connected together via their own individual memory/storage not just viewable on other units.

+1  I was surprised that this changed when going from the interlink to ethernet.
**Looking for the one that makes it all worthwhile**

I think this should be a setting, on = waypoints stored on both units, off= stored unit where marked and visible on other unit.

This along with the share added by WP management would cover all scenarios.
