Title: Mechanical Noise
Post by: Mike_Sea on January 07, 2014, 04:31:21 AM
As you can see this is not usual picture of a SI. There're some noise and mechanical obstruction.

Using Kingston SD HC card 10 class

Why this is happened?

Mike,

Did you play this file back on the Humminbird unit?  Do you get the same thing?

This is not at all what it shoud look like and is more than mechanical or noise issue!

Play it back on the unit and take some snapshots and post back here.

Robert,

Here's a snapshot in att.

There are no noise and picture is clear.

Also, when I'm play record my Humminbird 1198cx si Combo, and click on "FF Play" its restarts.
While paying record I click on "View" button, and its restarts as well.

But sometimes play ok..

Take a 5 minute recording and then download humviewer from this site and view the recording on a computer. Viewers use the raw data recorded to display the screens. It is probably a better playback detail than the HB playback feature in the unit.
Also make sure the boat is moving during the recording and not sitting still..

Depends on the SD-card size.  Your can record and re-record until the SD-card is full.

Card size determines to a point the time you can record. However for your problem I was suggesting a 5 min record. That should give enough information to help with your problem..
