Title: 998c - Auto Retract of 360 on speed alarm
Post by: promapper on April 28, 2013, 05:59:32 PM
Model:
998c
Suggested Upgrade:
Auto Retract of 360 on speed alarm
Explanation:
Since we can set an alarm for the speed when the 360 transducer is deployed and we can retract it remotely from the control unit I think an auto retract function would be a good idea .  Especially with the cost involved for not retracting.  It appears most of the code is already there.

I am willing to bet that every 360 owner has or will go past the max speed for the unit at least once.

I agree it does not appear that the folks at Humminbird give much common sense thought to their products. It is too, bad because this kind of stuff is pretty basic same for not having the Minn Kota Terrnova mount for the front mount 360. Who do they think spends the money for 360 people with outdated trolling motors? No it is the same kind of customer who spends the money for I-Link, I-Pilot, Spot Lock that comes with the Minn Kota Terrnova.
