Pennsylvania contour maps
« on: May 26, 2016, 11:18:54 AM »
I have 2 999HDSI units on my Ranger and fish smaller lakes in PA.  I have no current add-on software and was looking for opinions as to which software I should start with if I wanted contour maps of smaller lakes not on the main navionics of lakemaster lists.  I've heard about autocharting programs but would any of those allow me access to recorded maps made by other users?  The ability to save time mapping myself especially on electric only lakes would be priceless?

With Autochart software, multiple users can record data to input into the program.....What are the other maps made by others are you are you referencing?

I would go all in with the pro version.

$20 spent on the Lake Images 3 DVD set would be money well spent.

thank you Bob.  My partner has a Lowrance with the Lake Insight and we were trying to figure out how to get his info onto my Hbird.

It may be possible to do that with Sonar Trx or GPS Babel.....but I have no experience doing it.  Maybe somebody with experience doing that will check in.

My guess would be that you would have to use the raw data ......maybe rename or start another tread with a better description of what you want to do in the title and you would have a better chance of someone with that expertise seeing it.
