Have run into the problem that I do a side scan of an area and after about 1 minute, I get a message that there was an error transferring to the SD card. When I put the SD card in my computer, there are the scans, and when I try to open, they will only open 50% and hang up.
I did a restore and still the same thing. Tryed formatting the card and using a different one. Same results.
Any suggestions? :(

Are you talking about a recording?
What size and speed card are you using?
-
Yes, I am trying to record. Using a 2 and 4 gig SD cards.
-
Are these new cards? Maybe the cards are bad or maybe not fast enough.
-
Your cards are large enough, but possibly not fast enough.
I prefer the Sandisc ExtremeIII cards for recording...
Record in 15 minute increments..
With that said, when I do record, it make my scroll speed (SI)goes into slow motion, even with the fast write speed cards

When you formatted the memory cards, did you do a quick format or a full format?
Was this using a memory card reader that supports the SDHC type memory cards?
Was this using software that supports the larger SDHC type memory cards (FAT32 formatting)?
-
I have been using the same format for years. How do I find out if I am formating right? I have been doing a quick format, will do a more complete.
-
When the formatter software pops up you should be able to select the File System type (FAT32) and whether you want to do a Quick format or a Full format.
-
You are right, I did a complete format instead of a quick format. Took the unit out on the lake and the unit works great.
Thanks for the help, you and HB staff have a great Christmas and a happy New Year.
