ALL SI Models - Humminbird PC waypoint name control
« on: October 10, 2012, 09:10:37 AM »
Model:
ALL SI Models
Suggested Upgrade:
Humminbird PC waypoint name control
Explanation:
I would like the ability to set the default waypoint naming to any combination of letters and numbers instead of the default WPxxx. then when entering a long list of waypoints for a specific group I can name the waypoints with a unique to the group name.
Also the ability to search for duplicates by coordinate would be great.

Along this same line I would like to be able to use the select x and be able to rename a group of waypoints.  Right now I can use the select x amount of waypoints and change the icon on all of them but then I have to go back and individually rename each.

ie;  I mark a bunch of different locations and want to call all of them rock ledge, rock pile, etc I have to go and rename each.  A batch way of doing that on the unit would save me a ton of time.

After spending the last week or so organizing a mountain of waypoints,I have concluded I don't like the waypoint icon option either. The drop down scroll through window is time consuming. I think a window that would show all icon options in one view would be much faster. Also if the default Icon was the last used icon that would speed up waypoint entry also. IMO.

Agree 100% and let each set have it's own *.gpx file so I don't have to load ND's waypoints while fishing in MN.

Agree, both the naming feature and the waypoint icon could be a lot more user friendly in HumminbirdPC too..
