Hello from Missouri - Doug Vahrenberg
« on: May 14, 2010, 11:16:33 AM »
Well some of you may have heard of me...I've played with Humminbird Side Imaging a little bit. Only since 2004. It took me 15 Minutes to go crazy over this technology and to see what it could do for the sport of recreational angling - well it's blown into huge proportions now. SAR, Treasure Hunters, and even for Pleasure Boaters. I Founded the Yahoo SI Group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/sideimaging/ back in March 2006 as a place to share some of my screen captures well today we are very close to 7,000 members. I try to help others on many forums and Robert has done an excellent job on this forum and try from time to time check in here. What a great resource this site is. I do offer instructional on-the-water training here in Missouri when I'm not on the road competing in the BASSmaster Central Opens or local derbies. Fell free to give me shout if you have any questions on Humminbird. I've had the opportunity to expose alot of people and put alot of hours viewing the data and installing a few myself. Hope to find time to be more active on this site in the future.

Hi Doug,
good to have you here!

I "heard" about you here in Germany as well  ;).  I really liked your article about the Down Imaging. Hopefully I have my boat ready at the end of the month and see what I can see with the Down Imaging on my good old 981.

Best regards from Germany
Harry

Hi Doug,
They were top tips you gave me for transducer location on your Yahoo site. Hoping to bust my 210 foot Si record later this year, if I can find the legendary 250 foot hole. Great product.
regards,
Kevin
