I want to buy a Helix Chirp SI Combo G1.
Is it thrue that the Chirp function only for DI and not for SI works ?

The only G1 HELIXs with CHIRP are the HELIX 12 CHIRP units (HELIX 12 Sonar , HELIX 12 DI, HELIX 12 SI)... all 3 units only CHIRP 2d ...

In the HELIX G2 and G2N units ...:
*HELIX Sonar units CHIRP 2d ...
*HELIX DI units CHIRP 2d and DI ...
*HELIX SI units CHIRP 2d, DI and SI ...

I am using now a 1198 with 2 HSS tru-hull transducers.
Is it possibile that i use this HSS transducers for the Helix 12 Chirp SI GPS G2 till there is a chirp tru-hull transducer ?
I understand there is no tru-hull transducer for the Helis G2 available on this moment ?

Yes you will be able to use current 83kHz/200kHz xducers for 2d with the HELIX 12 CHIRP SI GPS G2N ... this would include transom mount, shoot thru fiberglass hull, and true thru hull where a hole is drilled thru the hull ...

Shoot thru fiberglass hull xducer would be XP 9 20 T ... true thru hull where a hole is drilled in the hull are XTH 9 20 brass, XTH 9 20 P plastic, XFM 9 20 plastic flush mount ...
We don't have info on compatible Airmar xducers yet ...
The MSIDB Y cable will be needed with any Setup using a second xducer for 2d ... this cable is not available yet as it is specifically made for the new XM 9 20 MSI T (the Mega xducer shipped with the HELIX 9, 10, and 12 CHIRP SI GPS G2N models) ...
