Title: First image with new unit...
Post by: Double Digit on May 08, 2011, 07:39:17 PM
Well went out today after lowering the transducer and it worked MINT.I now have a solid sonar reading at WOT...The roostertail is much smaller and not aimed directly at my outboard. The side scan and down image is still tuff to see in direct sunlight but after playing around with the different colors it got better. At the end of the day the clouds rolled in i turned on the side scan as i was driving back to the ramp in the harbor. As i was passing this dock...BAM!!!! There it was a sunken boat i couldn't believe it.I turned around made another pass and this time took a snapshot of it to show everybody.Wow how cool is that..The image quality was alot better on my unit but you can still see it in the picture.I told my wife i can drive around all day looking for stuff on the bottom. It really is totally addicting...It was a good day caught lots of fish my 998 works like a champ and found a sunken boat.....Life is Good..... ;D
