I downloaded all of my Nav data to the SD card on my unit and then organized and renamed all of my waypoints.  When I uploaded to the CD card I chose replace.  When I inserted the card after unit startup, I got the unit to accept the new data. My problem is that in the birds eye navigation view the new waypoint names appear.  In the 2D view the old names (just numbers) appear.  How can I fix that?  I'm using a transformer to power my unit.

I updated my unit to version 6.74 but I still get the same difference in waypoint names.

HB units only import new Navdata, not updated waypoints and tracks.

Delete All before importing new SD-card navdata.

Yep, LG is correct.  What you did not do was delete the original waypoints (and their names) when you exported the Nav Data to the SD memory card.  Basically you made a copy of all the waypoint locations (same Lat./Lon.) but with a different name.  Try what LG said and delete all than install the SD card with the new waypoint names.

Thanks for the replies.  I had looked deeper into the unit data and seen the same thing.  I though that the unit was giving me the option of replacing or adding data when I uploaded and I chose replace.  Well know I know.  I deleted the duplicate points with the original names.

You can select ADD or REPLACE during HBPC uploading to the SD-card on your Home PC.

But we're saying you will need to delete all navdata on your HB sonar unit before attempting to import into the unit.

Just to be clear. . .
