Title: GPS Networking 998C Helix 7
Post by: cdehoet on July 02, 2017, 10:56:59 AM
I am looking at purchasing a used 998C for a second unit.  the 998C does not have an internal GPS, it requires an external receiver. My question is, since the Helix 7 has built in GPS, will it send GPS info to the 998C if they are networked?

If the HELIX 7 is the G2N model - the 998 will accept GPS thru Ethernet from the HELIX 7 G2N  ...

HELIX G1 units and the HELIX 7 G2 units are not Ethernet capable  ...

And also note that waypoints marked on the 998 will be at the HELIX internal antenna position  ...
