Is screen size the only difference?

I have poor eyes and prefer a bigger screen, but 798ci is $810 and 898c is $1215. These are the very best prices I have found for new units. Is the 2" wider screen worth $400 more?

A little perspctive to think about here....

A lot of prospective SI customers do not realize the decreased structure image size regarding a SI image screen....

On my 1197 for instance.....a brush pile that shows as the size of a golf ball on the 2d screen shows as the size of dime on the SI screen...this is due to the amount of bottom that has to be "squeezed" into the screen size to show the entire bottom that is represented.....

On a 5 inch screen (797 or 798)that same brush pile would show up as the size of a quarter on the 2d screen...but show as the size of a pea on the SI screen...


Buy the biggest screen you can afford....and then borrow enough money to buy the next biggest screen...you will not be sorry you spent the extra money....
