How do you move readouts from left side of screen to bottom?
« on: April 16, 2012, 12:33:33 PM »
I just downloaded the newest update version to my 898 and want to move the readouts from the side of the screen to the bottom.  It said in a former post here (see below) that this update was coming out in Jan. 2012, so I figure it is the one I just downloaded.

Former post from wishlist forum:
"Joby Smith (from Humminbird) posted the following message on Crappie.com web site on 12/20/2011:

Humminbird 2012 Software Release Removable Readouts for 898/999 Side Imaging Units.
You will have the ability to remove the readout boxes on the Left side of your Side Imaging View and now have the depth and the temp displayed at the bottom of the screen. Now you can maximize your viewing area for Side Imaging. This software will be released in January for the 898 and the 998. "

My question, how do I move it to the bottom, make it smaller, or do away with it when I want?

thanks, Iowafuzz

The only screen that changes from side to bottom is the full SI screen.  To be able to do this it is under Sonar on the options.  You might have to have advanced settings turned on.  I can't remember.

Tried, no luck.
Have 898 set to Advanced setting and have gone through Sonar tab settings and others and can't find how make readouts go to bottom in the SI view.  Anybody know exactly how?

thanks, Iowafuzz

I think your answer is: menu button twice, go to SONAR heading, tab down to SI readouts, change from ON to OFF ( cursor button left )
