997CSI Screen Readouts Location
« on: June 22, 2010, 04:28:25 PM »
I have loaded the newest software, and notice that many who post pictures here show the readouts for Temp, direction, speed, etc. at the bottom of the screen rather than the left side of the screen.  I plead ignorant of where to find that menu setting, but would appreciate any help one of you could offer...Thanks!

WABass,

The images you are seeing are probably from 1197 units.  The 900 series displays the readouts on the left because it was designed with a wide-screen format.  It cannot be changed to bottom.

Damit Rgency, so, the only solution is $3K?  Bad answer, should be software option IMO, but thanks for assuring me that I am not an idiot...

Well just remember, you get a lot more than just the readouts on the bottom for $3k!  ;D ;D

It is on the HB wish list to be able to move or remove the digital readouts...but because it is not pressing issue..who knows how long (or if) HB will ever change this feature....  :-\

Yeah, lots of us are unhappy about not having more options for where to display those readouts on the 997/998's. It would be nice to have them small, see through and on the bottom like in the 797/798. It's an often requested function to HB so maybe someday we'll get it.

At least we have a bigger screen for it. The 898 is the same way, and it has a smaller screen to begin with. So the "real" display size is not much bigger than the 798 in most of the views on that unit!
