interlink, canon link and downrigger
« on: May 31, 2010, 11:35:38 AM »
Greg:

I wonder if you could help me. I have a  898 on the console, a 798 by the trolling motor, each connected to separate hdsi sensors and linked via a interlink. I am thinking of adding the mag 20 dt/hs downrigger to go after those elusive lake trout down 40-80 feet hugging th bottom. The question is about the cannon link and a mag 20 dt/hs downrigger. Does the cannon link connect to the interlink. Can either of the humminbird head units, through the interlink, control the downrigger. Or must the cannon link be plugged into a head  unit and dedicated to a single head unit. In other words, can I control the downrigger via both/either the 898 or the 798 through the interlink.

Thanks
Gene
