Title: Greg -> HumminbirdPC and Humminbird 398ci SI

 I tried to update my Humminbird 398ci SI  from 6.67 to 6.73 through AS-PC connection cable (I don't trust SD :) ). But Humminbird PC 4.3.8 said that model is unknown and serial number is unknown, too. I can load tracks and waypoint, but can't update.

What can I do?

And, if the new version will be worse, where I can download 6.67 version?

Not sure why HumminbirdPC will not recognize your 398ci SI unit adow.  It may be that it will not recognize the newer models when direct connected like this until it gets an update - and I have no idea if or when that will happen as most update via SD card.  This may be how you have to update it for now.
If you want a copy of the older software for your unit you can try asking for it from the Humminbird Customer Resource Center folks but their official recommendation is to never load an older version software into your unit or it could damage it to the point that the unit would have to be returned to the factory to be fixed - and this will not be covered under the factory warranty.  However, if you send me a personal e-mail message asking for the software by unit model name and version I can send it to you.
