I can't get my Humminbird PC to work right after downloading the newest software for my P C....the 4.1
I have gotten as far as the screen that says....Welcome to the Humminbird Software Update Wizard and have clicked "next" and nothing is happening. What do I do now. If I hit cancel....it ask me if I want to stop ! Please help...

I don’t know Calli1. I do know that you have to have the latest Windows and Java updates so it will work correctly. Maybe that can affect the loading of the program too. You do have administrative rights on the computer, right?

If he does not have admin rights there should be a warning to prompt him on this...
Also it does seems that all software is becomming connected with the most current related components.....
Man we are having to become a computer IT to get all this to work..
Or have a good IT friend...

I was able to download on my old desktop computer and get the update but the laptop...no such luck. Everything was working fine on the laptop until I downloaded the 4.1 . I really do not know what I have done if anything. I will work on this once home from work. I'm at a loss at this point. All of my backup program softwares are on this computer and now I can't find them or have them moved. Sometimes...I wonder if all of this is worth the trouble with computers and all. When things are going good...they are but when they are not, I's ready to go back to paper...lol!!

Calli1, yep we is sure a world of electronic information and exchange. I wonder if HAL (from from 2001 space oddessy) has become a real way of life now.
